Before Surgery

After Surgery
Gauze: bite on it for 45 minutes to stop bleeding.
Swelling and pain: expected for 2–3 days, then improves.
Cold packs: use on your cheek in the first 24 hours.
Rinsing: avoid rinsing for the first 48 hours, then start gentle saltwater rinses.
Diet: soft, cool foods like soup, yogurt, non-acidic juices. Avoid hot foods and chewing on the surgery side.
Oral hygiene: brush gently with a soft brush, away from the surgery area.
Medications: take painkillers and antibiotics as prescribed.
Avoid harmful habits: no smoking and no straws for at least a week.
Activity: gradually return to daily activities; recovery is usually 2–7 days depending on the procedure.
Call your doctor if:
Severe pain not relieved by medicine
Increasing swelling
Heavy or unusual bleeding
Movement of an implant
